Today in humangeo we watched a video about population growth and answered questions on a worksheet about it. We then discussed how the narrator's opinion on how the world is goinng onto a upward trend was incorrect to today's standards. He was saying that the population was all going to go to the top of the charts in the future which we discussed may not happen anymore. I re watched the video and I realized that a European country in 1942 life expectancy dropped below 25 years. I do not understand how this is possible, even if it were a world war. It was most likely Germany but even what they went through was nothing that could make the average life expectancy drop to 25 years. Maybe it was another country who were feeling the struggle of WW2 like Poland or France, but this number still seems very low.
